Everest Base Camp Trek starts with an inspiring mountain flight to Lukla, one of the most dangerous airports in the world, all etched in your memory. The trek will take you to Namche "Gateway to Everest", from where the walk unfolds with vast panoramas. Visit tranquil monasteries, meet Sherpas and see their culture and lifestyle. Along the way, Sagarmatha National Park is home to rare flora and fauna. Traveling with other thrill seekers from all over the world, you will scout three of the highest peaks on earth - Choyu, Lhotse and Makalu.
Other Himalayan ranges that you will see during the trek are Nuptse, Thamsel, Khumbu and Ama Dablam (Mount Everest). Everest Base Camp offers plenty of dramatic views of the Khumbu Icefall, Lola Glacier and Nuptse Glacier. It is located amongst the towering peaks of the south face of Everest. The packing list recommended by Maron Treks in Nepal varies depending on the season and altitude. We provide a 75 litre duffel bag and a sleeping bag. Minor items can be purchased or rented in Kathmandu before the start of the trek.
